Warner : The Londoner
Keith was born and brought up in East London and still lives
in the East End in Limehouse. After school, Keith started
worked as a junior Customs Officer in the West India docks,
the core of which is now Canary Wharf creating one of the
most dramatic business transformations witnessed in the
last century.
After leaving HM Customs and Excise, Keith then spent 23
years working in the City before retiring in 2008. This
gave Keith the opportunity to seriously study for the City
of London Guiding Certificate after years of roaming around
on his own and duly qualified in 2009. He further qualified as a City of Westminster guide in 2011 and so is now accredited to guide in both Central London locations. He worked for 2 summers
as a guide on the open top buses which confirmed that showing
visitors and Londoners around his city was a natural vocation
for him.
Keith also speaks regularly about London to groups and societies,
such as the Women’s Institute, and can provide a talk
delivered with enthusiasm and knowledge on many aspects
of London.
